Boujis Group is a Los Angeles-based hospitality group helmed by restaurateur husband-and-wife duo, Marissa and Matt Hermer. With concepts located from Pacific Palisades to West Hollywood, the Boujis restaurants marry European fare and flair with a Los Angeles sensibility. 


The Hermers' entrepreneurial journey began in Matt's hometown of London with the creation of Ignite Group in 2008, which owned and operated several international award-winning premium bars, clubs and restaurants. Prior to its development, Matt Hermer had revolutionized London's falling cocktail culture in 1998 when he launched the Eclipse Bars in London, Istanbul and the W Hotel in Barcelona. He also created the world-renowned celeb hot spot and aristocratic playground, Boujis, a nightclub which saw a decade of success with venues in both London and Hong Kong. Following Matt and Marissa tying the knot, the two became a powerhouse entrepreneurial team overseeing Ignite's global establishments and, soon after, opened the critically acclaimed Bumpkin restaurants, fostering London's farm-to-table movement using sustainable, seasonal British produce. Before relocating their family to Marissa's native Southern California, Marissa had also made her name on Bravo TV's hit reality TV show, Ladies of London, and wrote her first cookbook, An American Girl in London: 120 Nourishing Recipes For Your Family From a California Expat in Spring 2017.


Settling into Los Angeles, Marissa and Matt had a clear vision for their first restaurant to launch the Boujis Group portfolio. The Draycott, which opened in September 2018, is a California-inspired brasserie located in the beachside community of Pacific Palisades and serves as the flagship destination within Caruso's Palisades Village development. Named as an homage to London’s Draycott Avenue –– where Marissa and Matt Hermer first met –– the westside eatery features classic dishes using locally sourced ingredients that meld the setting of British bistros with a convivial Los Angeles disposition. 


In January 2020, the Hermers introduced their second LA project with Olivetta, a star-studded fine dining destination for coastal European fare that combines the whimsical elegance of the western Mediterranean with the theatrical exuberance of West Hollywood. By utilizing old-world ingredients and styles of preparation, Executive Chef Michael Fiorelli draws inspiration from classics of Italy, Greece, France and Spain to create a menu of seasonal dishes alongside craft cocktails from award-winning Beverage Director Melina Meza. The group's most recent endeavor, Issima, was the answer to the many questions posed by a pandemic, banding together with the La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood to offer open air poolside and rooftop dining. What began as a necessity has become a premier dining and nightlife go-to, and was recently named one of Los Angeles Magazine's "Best New Restaurants in 2021." Issima is rooted in the ethos of European beach clubs –– from Formentera and Mykonos to Ramateulle –– boasting flavors of the Mediterranean coastline from Executive Chef Michael Fiorelli and a regionally-inspired cocktail program from Melina Meza.


Boujis Group serves the LA community with quality cuisine and lively environments, with plans to roll out additional projects in 2022.

Issima

Rooted in the ethos of European beach clubs –– from Formentera and Mykonos to Ramatuelle –– Issima brings the style, beauty and exquisite flavors of the Mediterranean coastline to the shores of West Hollywood’s La Peer Hotel. Fully embracing the concept and wood-fired grills of the venue, Executive Chef Michael Fiorelli has created a menu that evokes a coastal fête alongside a regionally inspired cocktail program from decorated Beverage Director Melina Meza. While Issima's main dining room offers opulent comfort, the restaurant's al fresco poolside seatingand private rooftop take full advantage of LA’s weather for late night revelry and DJ dance breaks under the stars.

Olivetta is a fine dining destination for coastal European fare that combines the whimsical elegance of the western Mediterranean with the theatrical exuberance of West Hollywood. By utilizing old-world ingredients and styles of preparation, Executive Chef Michael Fiorelli draws inspiration from classics of Italy, Greece, France and Spain to create a menu of seasonal dishes alongside craft cocktails from award-winning Beverage Director Melina Meza and an extensive wine selection curated by Sommelier Eric Railsback. Olivetta captures the spirit of a European holiday while fully celebrating the locality of our LA home, complete with nightly DJs and a low-lit ambiance.
